Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Plan

Balıkesir Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Plan (IRAP), which reveals the catastrophic nature of the province and the possible effects of disasters, and in order to minimize these effects; It is a sustainable plan that describes the planning and work that should be carried out without disasters, within a process, and defines those responsible and responsibilities.

In this context, an exemplary guide for the preparation of the "Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Plan" (IRAP) has been created by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency, in order to prepare guides that will determine the principles of disaster risk management and to set a standard for disaster risk reduction studies to be carried out throughout the country.

“Balıkesir Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Plan” has been prepared as a result of meetings and workshops held with the participation of relevant Public Institutions and Organizations, Local Administrations, Organized Industrial Zone Directorates, Universities, Non-Governmental Organizations, Professional Chambers and large industrial organizations operating in the region, taking into account the guide in question. .

The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Plan carried out by our Provincial Disaster and Emergency Directorate has been completed with the participation of stakeholder Public Institutions/Organizations in our province and has been approved and put into effect.
